Electric City Pump & Run
A Pump and Run tests overall fitness by measuring both strength and endurance. Register for just the run portion of the event or the Pump and Run portion together.
In the Pump and Run competition, participants bench press a percentage of their body weight. Each lift (up to a maximum of 30), reduces their 5-kilometer run time by 30 seconds.
Depending on age, men must bench press 60 to 100 percent of their weight, and women 40 to 70 percent of their weight. Fitness instructors will oversee the bench press and inspire lifters to their maximum.

Event Start Times: 1-Mile 8 a.m. ~ 5k (both run only & Pump and Run) 8:30 a.m. ~ Tot Trot 9:30 a.m.
Pump portion may be done either Friday evenings 5-7 p.m. at the Anderson Area YMCA or race morning from 6:30-8:00 a.m. at the Athletic Complex.
